Places To Go & Things To See

There has been a lot on my plate lately and although years of Producing and running a Production Company taught me much about multi-tasking, it’s still a challenge to balance finding time for creative endeavors with everything else a day demands from us. One thing that I constantly grapple with is how to craft stories that (hopefully) people will be drawn to or else just finding the time to venture around the city searching out those stories. For now, we are in the midst of prepping for a Garage Sale, touring prospective High Schools, starting a new company (which entails many meetings) and just trying to keep our heads on straight. So, please forgive the gaps in postings from us this month! We do have some lovely things coming your way soon. We are venturing into our favorite season of the year and already have some stories in the works. (Oh, and we are also co-hosting a pop-up holiday market in December which, as we get closer, will tell you all about!)

In the meantime, if you are looking for some things coming up in and around Los Angeles this month, a few of our friends have some events and workshops that are definitely worth checking out:

Tonite, Friday November 13th, Slow Culture gallery in Highland Park will be having their final opening of the year with work from NY artist Justin Hager (7-10pm).

On Saturday November 14th, our friends at Individual Medley will have a Pop-Up at the Outpostfest in downtown Santa Ana.

On Sunday, November 15th, our friend Sheryl Cancellieri from Eastside Handmade will be doing an Advent Calendar workshop at our favorite Eagle Rock art gallery and store Leanna Lin’s Wonderland. *Reserve an advance spot online here.

Also beginning this weekend, & PensPress will have a pop-up book store installed at Fathersons Press  which is located in Atwater Village.

Christine Moore of Little Flower Candy Company and Lincoln Pasadena has a couple of events worth noting as well:

First, at Indiana Colony in Pasadena is a Pop-Up called Le Cirque Du Sucre (which is happening now). Perfect for those with a sweet tooth!

Also, Lincoln Pasadena will be featuring a shopping night on Wednesday November 18th  from 4 pm – 9 pm. (We’re hoping to get there early as their selection of magical items could disappear fast!)

So we hope that you can venture out to a few, if not all, of these fine events and enjoy the start to this year’s Holiday season!

Stay tuned…
